FLASH BACK FRIDAY is hosted by Swoony Boys Podcast & Fiction Fare and we LOVE it here on MMSAI – because it's not just the new books that deserve all the love!

I used to own this book. Beat up and tattered and read through a million times. I'm sure it's no secret by now that I have a thing for thrillers and anything slightly frightening.  You will find that like last weeks Flashback, this book was also considered "Young Adult" back there, but would easily be Middle Grade now.

The Girl In The Window
Author: Wilma Yeo
Release Date: April 1st 1988
Publisher: Scolastic

Ten-year-old Kiley is convinced that Pesha, a mysterious Gypsy woman, is behind the disappearance of her five-year-old neighbor, Leedie Ann Alcott. One day about a year after Leedie Ann's disappearance, Kiley sees the figure of a girl sitting in the window of the Alcott mansion. Is it a ghost? Or is Leedie Ann really back?
