The curious, charming, playful, and internet-famous picture-book character Otter gets in the Halloween spirit in her first paper-over-board book!

Hi! I am Otter.

Halloween is the best holiday ever! It is also a very busy time for me and Teddy: We have to pick pumpkins, decorate the house, and make scary costumes. With so much to do, it’s a good thing I’m a Halloween expert!

It's day 3 of the 31 days of Halloween here on MMSAI and I know that most of you weren't expecting children's books to be on the docket – surprise! This delightful picture book may not be scary – for you, but it sure was at one point for Otter, the self proclaimed Halloween expert.

Preparations go along swimmingly for Otter as he and his friend prepare for the big night. The one thing Otter didn't take into consideration was that the trick-or-treaters might be a bit scary for him. Luckily Otter Keeper has a plan and together they turn the night into the best Halloween ever!

My kids loved this book – even my 11 year old who is "too cool" for picture books these days. It's perfect for helping kids think of fun ideas for costumes and decorating ideas, and also help push aside those scared moments that inevitably occur with tiny ones!
