"November 9 is yet another breathtaking novel by Colleen Hoover that's full of blushing, gushing, and heartache. I loved every page and breathed in every beautiful word."

Beloved #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover returns with an unforgettable love story between a writer and his unexpected muse.
Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day of her scheduled cross-country move. Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon’s last day in L.A. together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben has always sought for his novel. Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon becomes unsure if Ben has been telling her the truth or fabricating a perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist.
Initially I just wanted that to be my review, but I figured I owed it to Colleen to put some more words behind it. I mean, look how many words she gives us.
First things first, you all know that I'm not really a synopsis reader, and when it comes to one of my favorite authors, I never ever read them because honestly I don't care what it's about – I just want more of what they write. Colleen could literally write a book about a woman who works at Area 51 and falls in love with a robotic trash can name Bleep Bloop and I would read the shit out of it and it would likely be the best thing I every read. (PS. CoHo – I expect some love in the acknowledgments if you use my idea *wink*)Suffice it to say I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I opened NOVEMBER 9, only that I COULD. NOT. WAIT!
Second of all, we get something new in NOVEMEBR 9, we get the scarred (and by scarred I literally mean disfigured from a fire) protagonist in Fallon. We're so used to the beautiful but shy or unaware lead. The slender brunette with beautiful eyes who (sing One Direction with me now:) She don't know she's beautiful…. The one fighting with internal scars, that's who we usually get. CoHo puts her front and center and says "Hey world, everyone is beautiful, every one has worth and every one can find love.". And I loved her, I really did. And you know what, I was really able to BE her, to understand her 100% which with I think is just another lesson hidden in this book – we are all more alike than you know.
Ben, is an aspiring author. Normally any time an author writes about authors, I hate it. Loathe it. It always feels fake, like the author is trying to find a way to put themself in the book and confuses things with their character and then you get this – but Ben is different. I don't want to say that the book focuses on the fact that he's writing because it does and it doesn't. It was never an overpowering presence that weighed things down.
NOVEMEBR 9 has all the things that a great CoHo book has. The twist you never see coming. That moment where you are content and happy and then realize how many pages are left in the book and are filled with dread at what's next. Believable characters that are raw and real. There's even a little present in there for you rabid CoHo Fans, something that won't sip by you and might tie some things together in a way you didn't expect.
NOVEMEBR 9 is wonderful, and perfect. Colleen Hoover is the only person I give permission to, to break my heart over and over again. I think that each book should come with a pack of Kleenex, a few travel sized bottles of wine and a pair of sunglasses to hid the puffy (drunk?) eyes of the reader. Because be it that you cry from happiness or sadness or all of it – you will cry. And you will love it.
