Nara Collins is an average sixteen-year-old, with one exception: every night she dreams the events of the following day. Due to an incident in her past, Nara avoids using her special gift to change fate…until she dreams a future she can’t ignore.
After Nara prevents a bombing at Blue Ridge High, her ability to see the future starts to fade, while people at school are suddenly being injured at an unusually high rate.
Grappling with her diminishing powers and the need to prevent another disaster, Nara meets Ethan Harris, a mysterious loner who seems to understand her better than anyone. Ethan and Nara forge an irresistible connection, but as their relationship heats up, so do her questions about his dark past.

My sixteen year old self is telling me that she wants a guy who has quiet strength, blue eyes, dark hair and has that dark angst vibe going on. Who am I kidding? I want the same thing now!

Ethan Harris is all of the above and then some it’s no wonder that Nara falls for him. The secrets Ethan and Nara have that bond them together keep them equal as a couple. They both need each other to face what has happened in each of their pasts and the unseen force that is currently wreaking havoc in each of their lives.

This book kept me anticipating each chapter and wanting to know what happened that when I finished I was at a loss for words hoping that P. T. Michelle had a sequel in the works; which I am happy to inform you that Lucid: Brightest Kind of Darkness #2 will be released Spring 2012 according to her website. I guarantee that I will eagerly read that and report back with a review.
