Today we welcome author Kathryn Miller Haines to our blog as part of The {Teen} Book Scene’s The Girl is Murder tour. Don’t forget to check out all the other amazing posts from this tour by clicking on the picture!

We here at MMSAI gave author Kathryn Miller Haines a list to choose from as a top ten “this or that”.  How exactly did she answer?  Let’s find out!

1) Romantic Comedies or Romantic Tragedies

Comedies
, for sure. As much as I enjoy a good cry, I’d prefer to laugh.

2) Sunrise or Sunset

Sunset!
It’s like the final, satisfying chapter of a really good book. Plus, if I’m watching the sun rise, there’s a good chance I’m up too darn early for comfort.

3) Historical Fiction or Real History

Historical fiction.
I mean, I write the stuff, but I also like the comfort of being able to walk away and assure myself that this stuff isn’t real.

4) Vampires of old or Vampires of new

Vampires of new.
The old ones were cool, but I like what people have done with the new ones.

5) Farm Animals or Zoo Animals

Zoo animals.
They may be caged, but at least they’re not being raised to become someone’s dinner.

6) Texting or Talking

Talking,
for the win! My slow fat fingers can’t text fast enough to keep up a conversation.

7) Social Media Networks or Good Old Fashioned Flyers (for events)

Social media networks.
There’s something gratifying about getting immediate response from people.

8) Flying or Driving

Flying.
I can’t read and drive. And despite what are brains tells us, statistically it’s safer.

9) Idea Writing on Paper or on a Computer

Computer, absolutely. I can write much, much faster that way and edit on the fly.

10) Diabolical Plans or Straight Forward Plans

Diabolical. That way I can twirl my mustache and laugh manically while petting my faithful cat, Mr. Whiskers.

11) Blatant Lies or Falsified Truths

Falsified truths
are a bit more interesting, no? They demonstrate that the teller has an understanding of the truth but a desire to twist it to their advantage.

12) Punk Rock or Metal

Punk
. I like what it comes out of (rage against the status quo) and like what it has evolved into.

And that’s all she wrote folks!  We hope you enjoyed this short time with such a great author!  Don’t forget:
