Top Ten Meaningful things in your life

10. Soccer. I love it. I love playing with my kids (when I have the energy, though I can’t really keep up
with them anymore). I love that soccer keeps my girls in shape and out of trouble. I love watching them
play. I am still awestruck and proud every time my oldest scores a goal, or my youngest stops a difficult
one.

9. Social networking. Now, no laughing. I’ve met SO many people through Facebook it’s not even funny.
I like staying connected to other writers, readers, family, and friends. I love looking at their pictures,
reading what’s happening in their lives, laughing at their jokes. Even if I’m not always able to write
them, I like to check in and make sure they’re still a part of my world.

8. Readers. If they don’t like my work, they motivate me to improve. If they love it, well, that just
makes me melt.

7. Educators. Truly, the hardest working, most underpaid people on the face of the planet. Without
them the world would be a very dumb place to live.

6. Faith. I’m not a religious person, not by any sense of the word, but I think that people have to rely on
a certain amount of faith, whether it’s in god, or mankind, or one’s self, or whatever, to make it in life. If
you’ve no faith in anything, what’s the point, right?

5. My book deal. I know, that sounds so vain, but seriously. I’ve made new friends because of it.
It’s forced me to come out of my shell, to leave my comfort zone. It compels me to work hard, to be
diligent and persistent. It’s given me confidence in myself, something I’ve lacked for a large portion of
my life.

4. Writing. Writing has been a godsend. It’s been a form of therapy and release. I don’t know how I
went so long without it. Once I started, I knew I would never stop, couldn’t stop.

3. Friends. There are those I can count on when I need a shoulder to cry on or a laugh, to go out for
dinner or drinks, to get advice or my toilet fixed. They are all unique and all have their own special place
in my heart for different reasons. And I hope I’m as good a friend to them as they have been to me.

2. Family. Sometimes they drive me nuts (and I’m sure I, them) but they are the ones who will be there
for you whether you have a broken heart, a broken arm, or a broken coffee mug.

1. My girls. They provide me light on even my darkest days.

Thanks so much Megan for stopping in!!!

  1. This is such a sweet interview. I really enjoyed the answers ;)

I especially liked the friends answer (I'm sure there's a story behind the toilet fixer, lol) and the line about her girls, nice ending.
