Back on July 22nd we did a review of Eternity by Heather Terrell as part of The {Teen} Book Scene tour. Today we are lucky enough to be able to hand the blog over to Heather herself and get some insight on some of her favorite books from the past few years.

The Blog is all yours Heather, take it away!

Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to take a second to say thank you so much for your interest in Eternity, the second book in the Fallen Angel series!! I really appreciate it, and am looking forward to blogging with you today. If you or your readers want to chat further, you can always check out my website www.heatherterrell.com or friend me on Facebook.

Thanks again!

Heather Terrell

Since I was a young girl, I have always been fascinated with books that transported me to another time and place. The historical and fantastical settings of books like The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lord of the Rings, and The Mists of Avalon captured my imagination and hooked me into a life-long love of far-away worlds – and the secrets lurking in ancient legend and lore. I now weave that interest into my own fiction, like my Fallen Angel series.

My fascination with historical and fantastical books continues today, but I now alternate those works with mysteries, young adult books, and books with a supernatural component. Or books that contain all of the above, if I’m really lucky.

Over the past few years, I’ve read widely of books old and new. I’ve devoured such awesome young adult books as The Hunger Games, the Twilight series, His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman, and all the Harry Potter books, of course. I’ve enjoyed some great mysteries and supernatural books, like the Sookie Stackhouse books (True Blood is based on them), The Passage by Justin Cronin, and Smilla’s Sense of Snow. And I’ve also fallen in love with some fabulous, but indescribable, books, like A.S. Byatt’s Possession and The Children’s Book, Michael Cunningham’s The Hours, and Arturo Perez-Reverte’s The Flanders Panel.

What’s on my bedside table right now? Well, the stack is pretty high, but I’ve got in there the entire George R. R. Martin A Song of Ice and Fire series (the Game of Thrones series is based on the books), Emma Donoghue’s Room, and an advance copy of my friend Javier Sierra’s book, The Lost Angel.

How about you? What’s on your bedside table? Please email me through my website www.heatherterrell.com or friend me on Facebook and tell me. I’m always looking for recommendations . . . .

Thank you so much Heather! It was great having you here today, we look forward to many more amazing novels from you in the future!!
