I know, the blog has been quiet for a few days. Trust me, we know now never to leave with out something planned, my pages hits dropped so significantly over these past 2-3 days that I might have almost cried a little. Plus I missed all you crazy kids!
As I don’t actually have anything planned for today, and my IMM is teeny and not worth a whole post by itself, I will instead tell you where myself and Rosmelie were.
We were being Monkey’s. 100 Monkeys that is. Amber, you say; this here is a book blog….ah friends please don’t make me draw the lines from this band all the way to a book. None of us will be happy with the end result and you know it. Instead I will let you sort the connection out yourself and if you need help, then ask.
First I went to see the Monkeys at Best Buy, where I won a guitar which they all signed and posed for photos with me and my Daughter.
I was initially supposed to hold the guitar because Jackson was dying to hold a kid but “Little E” wouldn't go to him. She has brought same to our family.
Once we got to the show we had some food, admired the storms rolling in and then rocked out to 100 Monkeys, front and center – as always:0)
When it came time for their improv song, Rosmelie shouted out that they should sing about Guitar Girl….me. As there was a million great ideas I figured they weren’t going to do it….but…..
After the guitar, and the song I figure my luck was gone for the night and best to head home on a high note. So, I waited til the autograph line dwindled down a bit and went up to say thank you and good bye to an awesome band.
I smile and kind words I am sure they say to everyone, from each of the Monkeys – except Jackson Rathbone who Held my hands and said “Absolutely darling, anytime” then leaned of the table and planted one on me. In a very “southern gentleman kissing a married lady good-bye” kind of way. Just a wee peck.
So I have been gone, because of 5 Monkeys a “geee-tar”, a song and a peck. But I’m back now, and return you to your regularly scheduled book blog :0)
….After the worst photo of me and Rosmelie ever taken…lol – but the only one from that night – *sad*

This sounds like sooo much fun Amber. Congrats on all the awesomeness! Memories that will last a lifetime. And you are so pretty too!

It looks like you had a ton of fun. Glad you won the guitar. Your daughter is too cute!
ReplyDeleteWow...the guys in that band are HOT! I love your new guitar. Too bad those guys had to write all over it. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on winning the guitar! That is so awesome. I love that band, they are a staple on my ipod. It's a shame your daughter didn't want to go to Jackson, that would have been an awesome story for her to tell someday.
