{Author Interview} Tiffany King + A Giveaway!

Yet another, amazing Indie Author has been so generous to do a little Q&A for Me, My Shelf and I and also provide you - my AMAZING readers with a free book!

Tiffany King has lived in Florida with her family for 14 years and has become very accustomed to the mild winters and scorching summers. Tiffany went back to school, not for anything writing related but she promises she has lots of stories stashed away to keep us all entertained!

Tiffany took some time to answer some questions about her book and about her publishing process for all the aspiring authors out there!

MMSAI: Where did the idea for Meant To Be come from?

TK: The idea for Meant to Be came after reading a love story that didn't end the way I wanted it to. I was frustrated and started thinking about, what if I made my own love story? It would be all mine and I could make the characters do what I wanted for once. LOL

MMSAI: What was your writing process/schedule like?

TK: Complete madness, hehe!! As soon as I had the idea down, I worked until I got the bones of the story out. I was up until 4:00 a.m. each night and back up by 7:00 the next morning. Thank goodness I was on a break from school and work, because I was a writing mess.

MMSAI: What made you choose self publishing?

TK: I chose self-publishing because I wanted people to be able to see my book without it being lost in a "slush pile" somewhere. Self-publishing is now the "American Idol" experience for writers and gives the voting to the readers.

MMSAI: Are any of your characters like anyone in your real life?
TK: Well, Krista shares some traits with me like, her love for chocolate. I am definitely a choc-o-holic! Mark shares similar traits with my hubby, as in the whole "protector" mode.

MMSAI:What's life been like since the book was released?
TK: Life has been crazy since the book came out. You think, "oh my book is out, now I can relax," but it's the exact opposite. I'm busier now than I have ever been, trying to market it and get it in the hands of readers

MMSAI: What are you working on right now?
TK: I am working on the next book in the series, and have both Krista and Mark bossing me around this time around, hehe

MMSAI: Do you have any advice for aspiring authors?
TK: I would say never give up. There is an audience for every single book written and if you feel the pull of writing, you should embrace it and see what happens.
