THESE ARE A MUST OWN!

I imagine one day I will win the lottery and own all of these awesome book cases.
Where will I put them all? Well, I will build a room just for them! My own awesome library. Why would I need book cases when I have Mah Nookie (my nook color for you slackers not following along), well I guess I'll have to suffer through a shopping spree at the book store won't I?

Now, be nice or I won't let you into my cool library when I finally get it.

THE INFINITY BOOK CASE

*PICTURES ARE NOT MINE, I CLAIM NO RIGHTS TO THEM.

IT HAS BEEN NAMED

After several days of thinking I finally came up with the perfect name for my Nook Color. The name is so obvious I can't believe I didn't think of it sooner.

Drum Roll Please.

The Name is: Mah Nookie (Must be said in Bill Compton's voice from True Blood)

Perfect??? I KNOW RIGHT!?

HOUSE OF NIGHT

*May contain minor details about book, but no "spoilers"*

Currently reading Tempted (#6), by PC Cast and her daughter Kristen.

The House of Night series....sigh. I read the first 5 in about 6 days, for a few reasons. 1. In the first few books they repeat things a lot. Word for word sacred chants, instead of just saying "and they had the ritual*" they described it time and time again though it was the same each time. 2. Part of me was hoping the plot would come back through all the repetitiveness and the crappy "teen talk" language that no teenager I have ever met speaks. and 3. They are just easy reads.

Notice how nothing in there is "I couldn't put them down, they were page turning, edge of my seat suspenseful". Well that's because they are not. They are rather predictable in fact. At first you don't know what to think, you start with a steamy sex scene, then fly into immature language that would make even a nine year old embarrassed to be around the person using it.

IMO, PC should have stuck to writing with out her daughter Kristen. You can almost pick out the different writing styles and decide which wrote which bits. To me, this is annoying. HOWEVER, I'm much to stubborn to quit this far into the series so I have borrowed book 6 on my nook and am currently reading (and skipping) through it. Plus, even though I am sure I will not get the ending I hope for by any means, I am still curious to see how they wrap it all up.

Oh, before I go here's a helpful tip, ignore everything, and I mean EVERYTHING in parenthesis in the first few books. It's useless. Example: "....I went the dining hall (cafeteria)...." oh no, I'm not kidding. After the first few books the Cast Duo seems to have dropped the side notes and realized people generally understood the blatantly obvious.

CHALLENGE!

So, I'm going to attempt to read 104 books in 2011

Before any of you get all scoff "I could totally do that what's the big deal", get your attitudes in check. It's 2 books a week, and while I love to read and recently just got a Nook Color I still have 2 kids and a busy schedule so this will actually be challenging for me. I also wonder if my husband will survive through it.....lol

Now, for those of you who are still totally sure you can do it, or just want to give it a shot....join us!

In less the 48 hours I start, and I already have a few books set up to go. Fallen by Lauren Kate and the Mortal Instruments Series....which will be for the 2nd time around.....but I won't bore you with this now. That's what the whole blog is for. I'm going to recap my thoughts on all the books I read...oh don't fall asleep yet! I would like to think that my witty banter will keep you reading this blog.

And for all my friends out there - it will be SPOILER FREE. I'm not going to rewrite the blurb that comes with the book - I HATE when people do that. If I wanted to read that, I would and if I'm looking at comments about a book, chances are I know what the hell it's about because I'm interested in reading it.
